How often should I do Pilates?

Mar 21 2026

The age old question – ‘how much?’ ‘how’ often?’…. ‘until I get….’

It’s the human condition is to find a ‘quick fix’. It really depends on your desired outcome/goals, whether you do any other exercise and a number of other factors. The majority of our clients attend our small-group sessions atleast twice to three times each week.

Important to note is that our sessions are 1 hour duration (not 40-45 minutes which ends up translating to 35 minutes for many).

If you have time in your schedule to fit in pilates daily, you’ll be sure to do it. It is true body ‘conditioning’ because it enables a significant proportion of unilateral training with emphasis on proper form- however the unique aspect is – when attending reformer pilates at a boutique studio and not a franchise or homogenous style studio, you’ll experience tailored exercises in a group session, or progressions for you – or a whole class with you in mind.

Our sessions don’t just focus on the ‘obvious area’ where you may feel a discrepancy (eg weakness or asymmetry). There is a specific method used within our sessions to combine opposite muscle reciprocal inhibition technique (physio science) with enabling neuromuscular connections – achieved through the consistently moving surface of the pilates reformer carriage, the changing tension of springs, the various positions of the body andn various props used throughout.

Book your complimentary trial session by creating an account via our app. You’ll see it in the ‘buy’ section then book into which timeslot suits (view the class descriptions for beginners or functional rehab sessions).

Hooroo!!
