Lara has studied Aerial, Yoga, Meditation, Wellness Coaching, and Pilates. She sees herself as a lifelong learner and is always adding to her educational toolbelt.

Lara teaches Yoga Detour ™ which is a practice focused on infusing strength and stability into yoga asana. This class moves at an accessible pace, waking up the body thoughtfully and methodically with the assistance of props. Though these classes may not move as quickly as a flow class, students should come prepared to work hard as they learn about how their bodies are designed to move. Suitable to all levels — even the seasoned practitioner will pick up a few tips and tricks in this class.

Her classes are mobility focused, infusing strength and stability into yoga. You will learn to play with the patterns of your body and mind.

Lara has always been curious about patterns. How we form them in our bodies and minds. She guides people through Aerial Play Experiences, Yoga Sessions and Mindful Meditations. Her intention is to playfully encourage you to uncover your abilities. She’ll be there to support you as you unlock confidence and trust in yourself. Lara’s sessions are the playground for how you show up in the game of your life. Are you ready to play?

Hi, and thanks for stopping by! I’m Olivia, the creator of Studio High Street and you’ll find me here in the Studio teaching a range of our classes.

Having endured a broken collarbone from a skateboarding fall at 21, and an arthroscopy and meniscus repair ten years later, I am no stranger to injuries and their ensuing imbalances. For my own injury rehab, I came to experience that the body needs to change up its regimen in order to continue seeing results and avoiding a plateau.

I particularly love the benefits of pilates for the body as there is the ability for such a diverse workout with Pilates, which other modalities don’t offer. Pilates also targets the the small muscles of the body which is often overlooked in more typical fitness environments and the results speak for themselves.

Along with operating group and private classes at Royal Rehab, Putney and teaching yoga and pilates classes at various studios and gyms in the Ryde – Gladesville area, I have spent the last three years working part-time with physios and chiros to help our clients with ease of movement, increasing their fitness and working on various dysfunctional movement patterns.

My background also involves delivering yoga and mat pilates onsite to various corporate companies in Macquarie Park, North Ryde. In addition to teaching here at the studio, I still run corporate classes a few days a week, some mornings and evenings.

Outside of the studio, Olivia enjoys cooking up storms (and chowing down!) and spending any leisure time indulging somewhere balmy with abundant and diverse tropical fruits and seafood galore. When holiday’s are a distant dream, I joke that thankfully High Street’s Harris Farm and Seafood shop next door provide an abundant array of fruits and fruits de la mer  to suffice 😉
